To help us understand about the sacrifices made by Canadians during
the World War II, and specifically the Liberation of the Netherlands, we are
each going to learn about one soldier who lost their life during the
campaign.
The people of the Netherlands each year still send tulips to Ottawa as a thank you for helping liberate their country.
Step One: Design
a Tulip -
Look at the photos of tulips.

Sketch a design.
Show your design to the teacher.
Draw and cut out a draft of your tulip from plain paper.
Your design must be approved by the teacher to receive your poster board.
Create a final tulip in cardboard. You can use a fine liner or pencil crayons to add details.
Don’t forget to design place at the top so you can add a string to display the finished product.
