BLOCK 2.2 & 2.1 Tuesday, April 16th.
We have started to look at conditions for ordinary people during the beginning of the Industrial Revolution. This time period overlaps with that of Queen Victoria.
She was born on May 1819 and died in 1901. Her long reign as Queen of the United Kingdom changed the destiny of many countries, some for the better and others not.
In class we will first learn some vocabulary and then read the article from Time Magazine about the motion picture "The Young Victoria".
We will see a very different England than we saw in the musical Oliver!! Be able to identify the differences between the two films. You fill in the worksheet while watching the film.
